This approach, along with his love of nature, has delivered a considered home that honours his love of wood and tradition with a contemporary purpose, filled with light, bold design and warmth, one than balances earthy tactile textures and sleek modern finishes with an Irish vernacular."
Marco Zampese - Executive Chef, Hélène Darroze at The Connaught, London.
"What an absolute pleasure it has been working with Adrian! From the moment we shared our idea for these unique, bespoke oak Petit Fours Dispensers, Adrian understood our vision and brought it to life with incredible craftsmanship and attention to detail.
What became an almost year-long collaboration, with the boxes travelling back and forth between Ireland and London, was made even more special when Adrian came to dine with us and experience the restaurant himself.
Today, they are a very special part of the Hélène Darroze at The Connaught experience. As the six drawers open simultaneously, revealing the petit fours, they create a genuine sense of curiosity, excitement and very often a “wow” from our guests.
More than beautiful mechanical pieces, they bring joy to the table, perfectly combining Adrian’s craftsmanship with our chefs’ creativity. We couldn’t be happier with what he has created.”
Denny Santiago - Executive Chef, Union League Liberty Hill, Philadelphia USA
“'Food is Family' is at the heart of everything we do at Marquis by Denny Santiago. When I reached out to Joop Duyn & Sons, I had a personal vision for a signature presentation that would unite family, history, craftsmanship, and our chefs’ passion for creating memorable experiences.
Adrian and team took the time to listen, understand our vision, and research the history of The Union League of Philadelphia and Union League Liberty Hill. Inspired by the property’s connection to George Washington and its walnut trees, they handcrafted the box from walnut, giving it an authentic connection to our history. Their thoughtfulness, attention to detail, and passion are evident throughout the piece.
We call it the “Juliet Box,” after my daughter. When she was younger, her friends called her Jules, inspiring the idea of hidden “jewels” inside each drawer. The artisan house-made petits fours, mignardises, bonbons liqueur and French macarons created by our pastry team. Including my children in the story of Marquis is deeply personal to me, and Joop Duyn & Sons brought that family connection to life beautifully.
Reserved for our exclusive Chef’s Table events, the Juliet Box creates a memorable wow factor as it is unveiled. Dessert is the final impression of the evening, and the box brings the experience to a meaningful close, leaving our members and guests with a lasting memory of family, craftsmanship, and thoughtful hospitality.
Handcrafted in Ireland, the Juliet Box is more than a presentation piece. It reflects our culinary vision and belief that food, family, and storytelling belong at the same table. Joop Duyn & Sons worked alongside our team to transform a heartfelt idea into something truly special.

"There is a mischievous quality about Adrian. Yet, when he speaks of his work, he could not be more serious. After spending time with Adrian in the workshop, and seeing the true genius at work here, it was also clear that all the work that they do is delivered with kindness, brilliance, and taste that is driven by a love of Nature."
